I norvegesi dello studio di architettura Rever&Drage hanno creato una bella cabina in legno, alta e snella, rinominata Zieglers Nest e affacciata sulla città di Molde, sulla costa ovest della Norvegia. Costruita su quattro piano, questa casa così particolare è costituita da una moltitudine di listelli di legno incastrati fra loro, proprio come nelle più classiche capanne in legno delle grandi foreste del nord. Ma non mancano gli elementi moderni come le larghe finestre e un terrazzo sul tetto, utilizzando allo stesso tempo modalità tradizionali e materiali naturali che permettono alla struttura di respirare. Struttura così alta per minimizzare la dimensione delle fondamenta in cemento ma anche per permettere una bella vista oltre la città fino al fiordo. Gli interni sono decorati con semplicità e con un grande uso del legno che incredibilmente non stanca: le balaustre in ferro battuto nero spezzano la ridondanza del calore del legno e l’effetto è ideale per una cabina nel mezzo della foresta. La location perfetta per chi vuole staccare dal caos cittadino e ritrovarsi immerso nella natura, in un paesaggio davvero da favola.

The Norwegians from the Rever&Drage architecture firm have created a beautiful tall, slender wooden cabin renamed Zieglers Nest and overlooking the city of Molde on the west coast of Norway. Built on four floors, this particular house consists of a multitude of wooden strips interlocked together, just like in the classic wooden homes of the great Northern forests. But there is no lack of modern elements such as large windows and a roof terrace, using at the same time both traditional methods and natural materials that allow the structure to breathe. The structure is high to minimize the size of the concrete foundations but also to allow a beautiful view over the city to the fjord. The interiors are decorated with simplicity and with a great use of wood that incredibly does not tire: the black wrought iron balustrades break the redundancy of the wood’s warmth and the effect is ideal for a cabin in the middle of the forest. The perfect location for who wants to detach from the chaos of the city and find yourself immersed in nature, in a truly fairytale landscape.
