Pieke Bergmans è un nome familiare a molti milanesi. Fino a qualche anno fa si poteva visitare il suo spazio in via Tortona al 12, dove organizzava eventi ed esposizioni delle sue opere in occasione del Salone del Mobile. Un artista e un designer, allievo di Ron Arad, che ha interpretato con gusto e maestria il concetto di oggetti fluidi. Bergmans sembra quasi un filosofo, o un maestro zen, quando spiega che i suoi oggetti nascono in modo quasi fortuito, lasciando che il “caso” ne modelli le forme. In realtà padroneggia da anni la tecnica del cristallo soffiato che ha approfondito e sperimentato anche con altri materiali come il PVC. Ama però svincolarsi dalle procedure consolidate di queste tecniche, modificandole per sperimentare nuove forme e nuovi risultati. Vasto è il suo repertorio, così come moltissimi sono i materiali lavorati; vetro, cristallo, plastica, porcellana. Noi però vogliamo soffermarci sugli oggetti luminosi, caratterizzati da una purezza formale che lascia comunque molto spazio al compiacimento estetico. Pieke Bergmans is a familiar name for many Milanese people. Until a few years ago you could visit his space in Via Tortona 12, where he organized events and exhibitions of his work at the Salone del Mobile. An artist and a designer, student of Ron Arad, he plays on the concept of fluid objects with taste and skill. Bergmans almost feels like a philosopher, or a Zen master, when he explains that his objects are born almost by letting chance models the shpaes. In fact, he has mastered the technique of blown crystal, delving into other materials such as PVC as well. Bergmsnd also loves to disengage from the established procedures of these techniques, modifying them to experiment with new forms and new results. His repertoire is vast, and so are the materials; glass, crystal, plastic, porcelain. But we will focus on bright objects, characterized by a formal purity that still leaves plenty of room to aesthetic pleasure.
