Oggi esploriamo l’abitazione della stilista francese Magali Pascal, a Bali, in Indonesia. Un luogo idilliaco, circondato dalla foresta, distante dal resto del mondo, per poter azzerare lo stress e magari fare ripartire l’ispirazione per una nuova collezione. Questa stilista crea abiti femminili in stile vintage, dai colori chiari, con un sacco di pizzo e merletti, ma in chiave moderna. E questo suo stile si ripropone in questa sua abitazione. Una casa che si sviluppa in lunghezza, dando la possibilità ad ogni stanza di sfruttare al massimo l’altissimo soffitto. Una enorme quantità di luce grazie ai lati lunghi, quasi completamente finestrati, lascia entrare questa luce eterea che si riflette per tutta la casa. L’arredo è minimale, ma scelto bene, seguendo i gusti della stilista. Cucina, sala da pranzo e soggiorno si trovano tutti nella stessa ampia stanza. La cucina si tinge totalmente di bianco, con piccoli dettagli in legno delle sedute da bar; la sala da pranzo, al contrario, si decora totalmente di legno: tavolone in legno, panche in legno, sedie in vimini intrecciati e lampade a sospensione nello stesso stile; il soggiorno, invece, fa il contrario della cucina, si tinge di legno e delle sfumature naturali, con un richiamo al bianco dato dai cuscini. Qualche tappeto persiano qua e la spezza la monotonia del pavimento liscio. Anche la camera da letto, con una base chiara, si tinge di tinte naturali e calde, con mobili in legno, tappeti berberi, e una parte dedicata ai bebè, con due bellissime culle in vimini e una delicata zanzariera per proteggerli dai moscerini della foresta. La piscina esterna è la ciliegina sulla torta, col suo pavimento mosaicato, con i colori che richiamano quelli della foresta, della vegetazione, della natura, e con il suo patio rigorosamente in legno, per continuare lo stile naturale. Un’oasi fatta e finita, dove rinchiudersi per staccare da tutto e tutti e per far ripartire la serenità. Una casa che ci fa sognare l’estate.

Today we explore the home of French designer Magali Pascal, in Bali, Indonesia. This fashion designer creates feminine dresses with a vintage style, in light colors, with lots of lace, but in a modern key. And this style of hers is repeated in this home. A house that develops in length, giving the possibility to every room to make the most of the very high ceiling. An enormous quantity of light thanks to the long sides, almost completely windowed, let this ethereal light enter that reflects throughout the home. The furnishing is minimal, but chosen well, following the taste of the designer. Kitchen, dining room, and living room are found all in the same large room. The kitchen is colored totally in white, with small details in wood of the bar seats; dining room, on the contrary, is decorated totally in wood: large wooden table, wooden benches, woven wicker chairs and suspension lamps in the same style; the living room, instead, does the opposite of the kitchen, colored in wood and natural shades, with a reference to the white given by the cushions. Some Persian carpets here and there break the monotony of the smooth floor. Also the bedroom, with a light base, is colored in warm and natural tones, with wooden furniture, Berber rugs, and a part dedicated to the babies, with two beautiful cribs in wicker and a delicate mosquito net to protect them from midges of the forest. The pool outside is the cherry on top, with its mosaic floor, with colors that recall those of the forest, the vegetation, the nature, and with its patio rigorously in wood, to continue the natural style. An oasis done and finished, where to close yourself off and detach from everything and everyone and to restart your serenity. A home that makes you dream of summer.
