Da un progetto di Red Deer Interior Design Studio ci avviciniamo a questa residenza nel cuore di Londra in punta di piedi, come altrimenti non si può fare: l’innegabile ispirazione mid-century americano si traduce in uno stile personale e molti richiami al passato. Questi iniziano infatti con una struttura che risale al 1750, che subì poi alterazioni nel primi decenni del 19esimo secolo. Oggetti in metallo, modanature in stile Jacobethan e stucchi dal sapore neo-classico si combinano per un concentrato di stili intrisi in una moderata palette di bianchi e grigi: questa delicata attenzione permette alle linee precise e affilate dei mobili e agli impianti in ottone di emergere e brillare. Insomma, l’intera casa è un vero e proprio esercizio di eclettismo e formalità: non possiamo non soffermarci però anche sui dettagli originali della residenza, come pavimenti in parquet perfettamente mantenuto, le grandi finestre disposte a semi cerchio, camini in marmo bianco o nero e ampi specchi vintage che fanno sognare. Il gusto per il marmo ritorna anche nel bellissimo top della cucina ma anche nel pavimento del bagno. Nulla è lasciato al caso e ogni dettaglio rientra in quel particolare stile personale di cui tutta la casa si fa rappresentante.

From a project by Red Deer Interior Design Studio we approach this residence in the heart of London tiptoed, as otherwise it cannot be done: the undeniable mid-century American inspiration translates into a personal styles and very reminiscent of the past. These begin in fact with the structure dating to 1750, which then underwent alterations in the early decades of the 19th century. Objects in metal, Jacobethan style moldings and stucco with a neo-classic flavor combine for a concentrate of styles imbued in a moderate palette of whites and grays: this delicate attention enables precise lines and sharpened furniture and the brass implants the emerge and shine. In short, the whole house is a true and proper exercise of eclecticism and formality: we cannot but dwell on the original details of the residence, like perfectly maintained parquet floors, the large windows arranged in a semicircle, fireplaces in white marble or black and many vintage mirrors that make us dream. The taste for marble returns also in the beautiful kitchen top but also in the bathroom floor. Nothing is left to chance and every detail falls in that particular personal style of which the whole house becomes representative.
