L’animo è verdissimo, come suggeriscono il nome e le piante che troneggiano in ogni angolo. Oggi vi portiamo chez Soul Green, da un anno sulla piazza milanese e già quotatissimo per i suoi piatti vegani gustosi e colorati e la filosofia (veramente!) sostenibile.

Il fondatore è Stefano Percassi, già noto per il marchio Kiko e diverse collaborazioni tra cui quella con Bullfrog (di cui vi parleremo presto). L’obiettivo invece quello di sfatare il mito di una cucina vegana noiosa e insapore, creando veri tripudi di colore nei piatti, mantenendo alte qualità e sostenibilità ambientale.  Questa coerenza si estende a tutto il locale, interior design compreso, attraverso la scelta di riutilizzare mobili e materiali.

La coesistenza di artigiani locali e artisti più internazionali si percepisce appena varcata la soglia. Le lampade con vetreria di riciclo sono del noto designer olandese Sander Wassink,  i supporti che reggono la rigogliosa flora sono invece firmati Controprogetto, come i tavoli in legno di seconda mano. A completare l’ambiente il soffitto originale, recuperato durante i lavori, diretti dallo studio belga Creneau International. Niente plastica perchè l’acqua viene filtrata da un depuratore a vista. Ogni ingrediente è fresco e rispetta la stagionalità, portando in auge le specialità italiane regionali.

Soul Green è anche legato a un progetto charity rivolto all’infanzia che quest’anno si impegna a dare cure e istruzione nelle regioni meno abbienti dell’India.

Gustoso, fresco e delicato. Qui potete mangiare bene e sentirvi coccolati facendo qualcosa di positivo per voi e per la terra che calpestate. Un sacco di pro in un semplice pasto, no? Il frizzantissimo team di Soul Green vi aspetta in Piazza Principessa Clotilde, a Milano.

The soul is very green, as suggested by the name and the plants that dominate in every corner. Today we bring you chez Soul Green, a year on the Milanese square and already highly prized for its tasty and colorful vegan dishes and the (really!) sustainable philosophy.

The founder is Stefano Percassi, already known for the brand Kiko and several collaborations including the one with Bullfrog (which we will talk about soon). Instead, the goal is to debunk the myth of a boring and tasteless vegan cuisine, creating real triumphs of color in the dishes, maintaining high quality and environmental sustainability. This consistency extends to the whole room, including interior design, through the choice of re-using furniture and materials.

The coexistence of local artisans and more international artists is perceived as soon as you cross the threshold. The lamps with recycled glassware are of the famous Dutch designer Sander Wassink, the supports that hold up the lush flora are instead signed Controprogetto, like the second-hand wood tables. To complete the environment we have the original ceiling, recovered during the works, directed by the Belgian studio Creneau International. No plastic because the water is filtered by an exposed purifier. Each ingredient is fresh and respects seasonality, bringing regional Italian specialties into vogue.

Soul Green is also linked to a charity project aimed at children, which this year is committed to providing care and education in the poorer regions of India.
