Amiamo viaggiare alla ricerca di nuove esperienze estetiche, e quando non lo possiamo fare curiosiamo assiduamente per conoscere, e farvi conoscere, nuove meraviglie. E’ il caso dell’Hotel Adriatic, un luogo davvero particolare per il suo intimo legame con l’arte. Ristrutturato con sapienza dallo studio croato 3LHD, l’Hotel Adriatic offre agli ospiti la possibilità di mangiare, bere e dormire in stretta compagnia di imponenti installazioni d’arte  appositamente commissionate per questo progetto. Affacciato sul mare istriano, l’edificio originario risale al lontano 1913, ed è stato il primo hotel costruito in quella regione. La ristrutturazione dell’edificio è stata frutto di sinergie europee, in cui anche l’Italia ha avuto il suo ruolo. Oggi l’Hotel è un polo di lusso per la regione, ma questa sua identità non fa venire meno lo scopo di mettere l’arte al centro dell’attenzione. Esternamente l’edificio è stato ricostruito e restaurato mantenendone la sua identità; per gli interni invece i progettisti hanno pensato ad ambienti sontuosi ed eleganti, con profusione di tessuti pregiati, colori un po’ snob e molta cura per i dettagli. Davvero bello il contrasto tra i corridoi, molto bui e misteriosi, e le camere, luminose e ariose. Ogni angolo è stato studiato come se fosse un ambiente unico, ma il risultato è un insieme pieno di fascino.

We love to travel in search of new aesthetic experiences, and when we can’t physically do this, we dawdle and daydream through resources to bring to you, and us, new wonders. And such is the case of the Hotel Adriatic, a very special place for its close ties to the arts. Skillfully renovated by Croatian studio 3LHD, the Adriatic Hotel offers guests the opportunity to eat, drink and sleep right next to impressive art installations specially commissioned for this project. Overlooking the sea in Istria, the original building dates back to 1913, and was the first hotel built in that region. The renovation of the building is the result of European synergies, in which Italy has also played its part. Today, the hotel is a hub of luxury for the region, but this identity does not negate the purpose of putting art at the center of attention. Outside, the building was rebuilt and restored while maintaining its identity; for the interior, the designers have envisioned lavish and elegant environments, with a profusion of rich fabrics, snobbish colors and a lot of attention to detail. A really nice contrast between the hallways, dark and mysterious, and the light and airy rooms. Every angle has been studied as if it were a completely unique environment, but the result is a collection full of charm.
